Install the Automations Extension

Visit the Visual Studio Marketplace and install the Automations extension into your Azure DevOps organization.

Connect Organization and Register Entra App

An organization administrator should navigate to Organization Settings → Automations. Click Connect organization to register the Automations Microsoft Entra app and select projects that can run automations. Ensure the status shows Ready before proceeding.

Create Automations in a Project

Once the organization status is Ready, a project administrator can open Automations in the project. Choose to create an automation from a template or start from scratch.

Monitor Automation Executions

Use the Logs tab within each project to observe and manage automation executions.
